Woodhall Farm, Hemel Hempstead

Woodhall is a modest neighbourhood located on the northern end of Hemel Hempstead. It is one of the many towns that came into existence after legislators enacted the 1949 New Town Act.

This project involved settling victims of the Second World War with the bill suggesting that the new designated New Town areas be removed under the Local Authority control and handed over to Development corporations in an attempt to improve urban development. While this plan did work for some time, the government saw it fit to place New Towns, including Woodhall Farm, under England partnerships and Local Authority control. Assets, including real estate, split between these two entities.

The Woodhall neighbourhood comes from humble beginnings. During the initial plans to develop the area, there was little to no activity in the place. However, as the larger Hemel Hempstead grew, so did Woodhall Farm. Currently, this area is a hive of activity both during the day and at night. Businesses in the area operate from the wee hours of the morning and close down late into the night.

Woodhall Farm has a myriad of profitable ventures, with most of the share going to Fairview Estates. Constructions comprise detached four-bedroom houses and low-rise one-bedroom flats. Woodhall is home to one of many Sainsbury supermarket chains where locals enjoy shopping and a fun time out.

Fish and chips are a popular delicacy in the town with several shops in the area for this purpose. Besides a Chemist shop where sickly individuals go and get reliable treatment, there’s only a dry cleaner within the vicinity. With two primary schools in the area, children have an easy time accessing education. There’s an emergency surgery area In case of dire health emergencies.

Exciting things to do in Woodhall include visiting The Mall, where various services are on offer. From good food to favourite drinks, this place has it all. The cherry on top is the full-body massage at the spa. Woodhall has nature trails with a forest kind of vibe for the outdoor lovers that will be a great adventure. There’s also a nearby Tattershall Farmland where both kids and adults interact with different animal species.

As the World gears up to life after the pandemic, Woodhall Farm hasn’t left behind. With protocols in place, visitors should be allowed back in no time. Clearly, there’s no better escape in all of Hertfordshire than in this small neighbourhood.
